Several shows and some great news. - June 13, 2007

Well it's been awhile since I have last updated but I assure you it has been worth the wait.

I am currently back in Montana for 3 weeks, and while I am up here I will be performing at "The Battle of The Little Bighorn" re-enactment in Custer, Montana Saturday June 23rd at 1:30 PM. It is a fantastic look back in history and offers an insightful glimpse into the Indians view of the Battle of The Little Bighorn also known as Custer's Last Stand.

Then I will be back in Covington by July the 12th to perform at The Covington Chamber Installation Banquet- it will be a 'Classic Broadway' reunion and there will be a Pasta Buffet served. The time is TBD and I will post it here as soon as it is finalized. You can read more fully about these shows by clicking on the 'Calendar' link.

And lastly the best news of all is July 16th I will be moving to Nashville to live there fulltime. This is a lifelong dream of mine and I am so very excited to have it come to pass. I am looking to start recording a demo and hit the beat and start playing as often as I can. The biggest difficulty will be in deciding where to start. *smile!*

I would like to thank all of the people who have signed the guestbook and signed up for the newsletter. I appreciate all of your support and I will keep you all posted with updates!

A Great Tennessee Welcome! - March 30, 2007

It is being filmed by Navigation Advertising LLC and developed for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.

Filming is next week so we will keep you posted.

Updates & a few new photos - March 14, 2007

I am finally back in Tennessee. *whew* The Montana trip lasted a bit longer then planned however it was great to be back west. The snow I already miss, but here in Tennessee spring has arrived. Beautiful 70-degree weather, flowers blooming, beautiful.

While I was 'vacationing' at home *laughs* I took several acting classes hosted by casting director Tina Buckingham, she is located in Bozeman, MT and was simply wonderful to work with. If you are in the area I can’t recommend her enough.
Other then that I kicked back, relaxed and watched the snow fall.
I wish. *laughs*
No in reality my family and I had a very busy Christmas, then finished packing up our home in Bozeman and did home repairs (I can stain doors & cabinets with the best of them I tell ya!) and got everything prepared so now I am 100% ready to be living in Tennessee fulltime. *yay!*

Well, I could never leave Montana never to return, (the most beautiful skies found anywhere & the best people and skiing *smile*) but now my home base in Tennessee. Spring has arrived and with it more opportunities. I know this year will be busier then the last- and I will keep you all posted!

Thank you all that keep visiting, I appreciate it!

Merry Christmas! - December 1, 2006

It’s the most wonderful time of the year…..

Things are slow on the entertainment front, I have been taking a few classes, but I am enjoying the break and visiting with family and friends.
However, if you are looking for some entertaining reading check out The Weather Rock Report It has been giving daily reports of the weather (and some interesting comments on my family) at least through the holiday season.
Merry Christmas once again!

Final Weekend! - September 19, 2006

Note:If you are interested in coming to the show please check out the Calendar Link on your left. Complete information is posted there.
See you at the Show!
Well last weekend went great- biggest crowds so far- and the show is really fantastic. This weekend is our final weekend so if you haven't made it (Or would like to see it again!) be sure to come on out- we would love to see you there.

Last Saturday we went to Munford Days and my ever-dedicated cast handed out over 500 flyers (wearing formals in 102 degree heat no less) smiling the whole time. Also the Tipton Arts Council was kind enough to share some of their time on the 2 different stages so we had a chance to perform some songs from the show.

Things have been up and down- like today the first thing this morning a important local newspaper just forgot to place our ads, one of our signs disappeared and water was (again) leaking all over the theatre.
Then by this evening I spoke with another newspaper that was supportive and fantastic, read a nice review on the show, 3 different people raved about the show to someone other then me (smile) the sign was found and is being repaired and so is the leak, by the behind the scenes knight in shining armor Rob W.
And that is just a glimpse into 1 day of putting on a show.

However the response from people who have came to the show has been wonderful. That is the best compliment of all.

Anyway- final weekend coming up will keep you all posted!
Thank you all who have stopped by and I would love if you would take a moment to sign the guestbook.

Opening Night! - September 9, 2006

Well opening night was last night and though the crowd was small the show was fantastic! The cast was great and had a fantastic time- we had a few technical glitches but that is what makes opening night so unique. *smile*

Everyone really seemed to enjoy the show- "The theatre looks great"
"The show was fantastic"
"I can't believe this was in Covington!"
were just some of the great compliments said after the show.

If anyone has any suggestions for how to better get the word out- feel free to let me know.

Thanks to everyone who has came so far. 8 more shows to go, see you there!

Ruffin Theatre Update - September 8, 2006

First off I would like to thank the Covington Leader for the great article in the paper today. You can read it by clicking here. One thing they didn't mention however is all of the cleaning we have done to the theatre. We have been cleaning and repairing everything we can before Showtime tonight.
The carpets have been cleaned, the auditorium has been swept, mopped, scrubbed and wetvaced.
The carpets, bathrooms, front lobby and front of the building has been cleaned.
Pretty much if we could find it- we cleaned it.
The theatre is smelling much better now (a major problem before)
Lights, curtains, bathroom fixtures have all been repaired or replaced (we have a new popcorn machine also! Thanks to Mr. Tim Slone) and we are hoping *crosses fingers* that next week we may have 2 more working bathrooms.
We have only had five days so far at the theatre to do all of this- and we will be working on it as the show progresses also- so the theatre will definitely not be the same as it was.

Anyway- opening night is later today so wish us all luck!

Classic Broadway Update X2 - August 28, 2006

A few more days have gone by- have made it into the theatre. There is quite a bit of cleaning that need to be done, and some repairs- but it is going to look great. (or at least better. *smile*) I have my backstage, ticket and concession personnel, now all I need is a lighting and sound tech.
(If you are in the Covington area and might be interested in helping out with the show contact me asap. Thanks!)
Talking with the radio and local papers, designing playbills, practicing, getting together a set and costumes and many other different things. 12 days to go.

Keep checking back for more updates.
Thanks!

"Classic Broadway" Update - August 24, 2006

Well it has been a little over a week (only 2 to go!) and things have been falling into place rapidly.
Music is here, Posters have been printed, Tickets are on their way, and I have a cast.
Eric Pilkington, Paige Koneski, Paden Pierry, Amy Bragg and myself.
All are superb singers and entertainers and have willing agreed to learn what normally takes 8 weeks in less then 3. They are a talented group- I am enjoying working with them immensely, now I am off to do some of the other 3000 things before opening night!

We Proudly Announce: "Classic Broadway" A Broadway Musical Revue - August 17, 2006

It is a show that will feature Classic songs (and a few great undiscovered gems) with the common tie of all coming from Broadway Musicals.
As of this posting opening night is only 23 nights away.
The reason for the short notice is the venue was available in September or we would have had to wait until November.
It's gonna be a fast ride!
I will keep you posted with the progress of the show.
